Brierley Hill

Once the industrial hub of the borough, Brierley Hill has found success as a major retail centre in recent years.

Delph Road in Brierley Hill is known as the 'Real Ales Riviera' of Dudley and is home to an impressive number of pubs within a short stagger, including the famous Vine, known locally as the Bull and Bladder. The Nine locks (although, mysteriously there are only eight) run parallel to the road and provide a pleasant walk through a conservation area. Halfway up is a block of stables once used for boat horses and nearby the former lock-keeper's cottage can be seen.

There are plenty of things you can do as a volunteer in Brierley Hill – check out the featured opportunity on the right hand side for a start!

Do you speak a community language such as Urdu or Punjabi?

If so, a children’s project in Brierley Hill would like to hear from you as they need volunteers with language skills to help out at their project. If you have IT skills as well then even better!
